Remit Continental is a Company registered in the United Kingdom, with a registered address at: White House, Wollaton St, Nottingham NG1 5GF IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT, PLEASE DO NOT USE OR ACCESS OUR SERVICES OR REGISTER FOR THE SERVICES PROVIDED ON THE SITE. We may modify this Terms and conditions at any time by posting the amended terms on the Site. In the event of such amendments, all amended terms shall automatically be effective and binding when initially posted on the Site.
We reserve the sole right to modify the provisions of this Terms and Conditions, and the modifications shall be binding on you. We encourage you to read this Terms and Conditions from time to time.
To use this service, you must be at least 18 years old. By using any of our services, you warrant that you’re at least 18 years old. We reserve the rights to verify your identity at any time. The use of this service is not allowed in regions where it is prohibited. You expressly agree that your use of this service shall not violate any applicable laws in the territory you reside.
To use any part of this service, you may be required to create an account. Your Remit Continental Account allows you to hold, send or receive electronic money/payments.
While creating your account with us, you’ll be required to provide us with certain identifiable information. You understand that all information you provide to us must be accurate and true to the best of your knowledge. In the event of any changes to the information you provide to us, you understand that you’re responsible for updating your account information. We will not be liable to you for any loss that may arise as a result of providing incorrect or false information, neither are we liable to you for your failure to update your account information.
You are solely responsible for all your activities conducted through your account. You understand that you will only use the Services to transact on your account for personal purposes and not on behalf of any other person or entity.
. You expressly understand that: a. You are permitted to operate one account unless we agree otherwise at any time. We reserve the rights to take proper actions regarding any suspicious use of our platform at any time. b. The electronic money held in your Remit Continental Account will not accrue any interest. c. You may hold your electronic money in any currencies supported on our platform from time to time. d. You may withdraw money from your Remit Continental Account at any time subject to certain conditions. e. We may place certain limits on your account depending on certain conditions which may include Identity verification, legal reasons, and country of residence. You may contact us at any time in the event a limit is placed on your account. f. You understand that you’re solely responsible for any authorised or unauthorised use of your Account. We encourage you to keep your login credentials safe at all times. Please notify us in case you notice any unusual activity with your account. g. Your electronic money in the Remit Continental Account is issued in accordance with the EU Electronic Money Directive (Directive 2009/110/EC of 16 September 2009) and the UK Electronic Money Regulations 2011. h. Your Remit Continental Account is an electronic money account and shall not for any reason be considered a bank account. You acknowledge that the UK’s Financial Services Compensation Scheme is not applicable to your Remit Continental Account.
We are required by law to carry out all necessary security and User’s due diligence on every account created with us. This helps us to properly provide our service to you. We may request for further information from you at any time. This information will be further used to verify your Identity and the nature of transaction you execute through our platform. You agree to comply with all our request at any time. We may at our sole discretion, verify or employ the service of third parties to verify the information you provide to us
To fund your Remit Continental account, you will have to login into your account and follow the steps made available to you. You understand that you’re are responsible for your activities while funding your account. We will not be liable to you for any failed transaction and neither are we responsible for any amount you fund until we acknowledge that we’ve received a payment from you.
By funding your account, you represent and warrant that you’re the owner or an authorized user of the payment you provide to us. Any amount you fund into your account will be credited as soon as we receive the payment. We reserve the rights to reject or reverse any account funded by you if we will in our sole discretion that the payment method is suspicious or unsafe.
To transfer funds from Remit Continental Account to a recipient, you will be required to set up a payment order. To set up a payment order via your Remit Continental Account, you need to provide certain information to us including (a) the full name of your recipient, (b) your recipient’s bank account details or their Remit Continental Account details and (c) amount to be transferred.
Once we receive your transfer request, we will send you a confirmation notice which we will include a unique transaction number. In the event you encounter any difficulty in sending payment, you will be required to provide us with the transaction number.
You understand that to send a fund on your account, you are required to have sufficient balance. We will only process a transfer request if we’re able to establish that you have a sufficient amount in your balance.
You’re solely responsible for the accuracy of the transfer information you provide to us. If we process any transfer request in accordance with the transfer information you provide, such information will be considered accurate even if you made a mistake.
If you provide incorrect information with your Transfer request, we will use reasonable efforts to recover the funds and may need to charge you a fee for that. We do not guarantee a successful recovery.
If for any reason, we cannot complete your transfer request, we will notify you in due time.
We will use our reasonable efforts to provide you with updates on exchange rates as they may change from time to time.
When we refer to an exchange rate in this Terms and Conditions, it means the mid-market exchange rate at the time of transaction for the relevant currency pair (for example, GBP to EUR, USD to AUD) as may be provided by our rate provider. RECEIVING FUNDS
You can receive funds into your Remit Continental Account using methods supported by Us from time to time. Any funds you receive into your account will be shown in your balance and as well, recorded in your transaction history.
You understand that funds you receive may be subject to reversal and you agree that we may deduct the amount received from your account if it was reversed by the individual who sent you the payment. WITHDRAWALS
Remit continental provides you with a medium to withdraw your money. To withdraw any amount in your account balance, you’ll be required to login into your account and request a withdrawal. You will be required to complete the steps provided to you to complete the process.
When requesting a withdrawal, you agree to provide us with accurate and complete information. We will not be liable for any amount sent by you to a wrong Recipient as a result of any incorrect information provided by you.
If you feel you have provided an incorrect information, you are required to notify us as soon as possible. We will use our reasonable efforts to recover your funds, but do not guarantee a successful recovery.
You may terminate your Account at any time. You may end this Agreement and close your Remit Continental Account at any time by contacting our Customer Support.
You are required to withdraw your money prior to such request. After the termination of your account, you will no longer be able to access your account. You may still contact our support team for any information or help regarding your account.
You may not terminate your account if such account is under investigation. If you request an account termination when your account is undergoing an investigation, we may hold your funds until the investigation is complete.
While you are using our Services, you may use the Remit Continental Materials only for your personal use and solely as necessary in relation to those Services.
“Intellectual Properties" include any software (including without limitation the platform, the API, developer tools, sample source code, and code libraries), data, materials, content and printed and electronic documentation (including any specifications and integration guides) developed and provided by us or our affiliates to you, or available for download from our Website. You may not for any reason whatsoever, a. attempt to, directly or indirectly transfer, sublicense, loan, sell, assign, lease, rent, distribute or grant rights in the Service or the Remit Continental Materials to any person or entity; b. Remove, obscure, or alter any notice of any of our trademarks, or other "intellectual property" appearing on or contained within the Services. c. modify, copy, tamper with or otherwise create derivative works of any software included in the Remit Continental Materials; d. Reverse engineer, disassemble, or decompile the Remit Continental Materials or the Services or apply any other process or procedure to derive the source code of any software included in the Remit Continental Materials or as part of the Services.
Where we have breached this Agreement or in anyway failed to fulfil our obligations to you, we will be liable for any remedy required to compensate the breach.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Remit Continental, and our officers, directors, employees, parents, partners, successors, agents, distribution partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, and their related companies from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, obligations, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs) arising out of, related to, or that may arise in connection with: (i) your access to or use of Remit Continental; (ii) any actual or alleged violation or breach by you of these Terms and Conditions; (iv) any actual or alleged breach of any representation, warranty, or covenant that you have made to us; or (v) your acts or omissions. You agree to cooperate fully with us in the defence of any claim that is the subject of your obligations hereunder.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL REMIT CONTINENTAL, OR OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARENTS, PARTNERS, SUCCESSORS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, OR RELATED COMPANIES BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, LOSS (EVEN IF THE ABOVE LISTED PARTIES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES), ARISING OUT OF, RELATING TO, OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH REMIT CONTINENTAL.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CUMULATIVE LIABILITY OF REMIT CONTINENTAL, AND OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARENTS, PARTNERS, SUCCESSORS, AGENTS, DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, AND RELATED COMPANIES EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE TOTAL SERVICE FEE RECEIVED FROM YOU OR £500. FURTHERMORE, YOU AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF, RELATING TO, OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH ANY OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS MUST COMMENCE WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES; OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION SHALL BE PERMANENTLY BARRED.
ACCESSING OUR SERVICES
We will use our reasonable efforts to make our services available to you at all times. However, we do not guarantee that our Services will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of our Service without notice. You expressly understand that we will not be liable to you if for any reason our Services are unavailable at any time or for any period.
We reserve the rights to suspend or terminate this service to you should we suspect any violation, unlawful use of Remit continental upon providing you with a prior notice.
We may suspend or terminate your Remit Continental Account without notice in certain circumstances. We may at any time suspend or close your Remit Continental Account and/or end this Agreement without notice if:
a. You have breached any provisions of this Terms and Conditions. b. We are required to do so in compliance with government authorities or law enforcement agencies. c. The use of this service is prohibited in your territory. d. We have reason to believe you are involved in any fraudulent activity, money laundering, terrorist financing or other criminal or illegal activity. e. If we believe your use of this service can cause potential harm to this platform. f. We may suspend your Remit Continental Account for security reasons. We may suspend your Remit Continental Account or restrict its functionality if we have reasonable concerns about: i. the security of your Remit Continental Account; or ii. Suspected unauthorised or fraudulent use of your Remit Continental Account. g. We will provide you with notice of any suspension or restriction and the reasons for such suspension or restriction as soon as we can, either before the suspension or restriction is put in place, or immediately after, unless notifying you would be unlawful or compromise our reasonable security measures. We will lift the suspension and/or the restriction as soon as practicable after the reasons for the suspension and/or restriction have ceased to exist.
Should you have any complaint regarding your use of this service, we have a procedure in place to help you reach out to us. We will investigate your complaint and get back to you with our response within 10 business days after the day in which we received a complaint.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace any part of this Agreement. It is your responsibility to check this Agreement at all times for changes. Your continuous use of or access to our platform following the posting of any changes to this Agreement constitutes acceptance of those changes.
We will always contact you through any contact information you provide to us during your account registrations. You should check for incoming messages regularly and frequently, these emails may contain links to further communication on our Website. If you don’t maintain or check your email and other methods of communications, you may miss the notification we send to you about your transactions and our Services. We may also contact you via telephone where appropriate. You agree that you are deemed to have received any and all notices that would have been delivered had you accessed the Service in an authorized manner.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement Remit Continental and you concerning the subject matter hereof, and they may only be modified by a written amendment signed by an authorized executive of Remit Continental, or by the posting by Remit Continental of a revised version. Except to the extent applicable law, if any, provides otherwise, this Agreement, any access to or use of this Service will be governed by the English laws.
